Pete Harris, Independent Candidate at the 2010 General Election for the Isle of Wight Constituency

Post the 2010 General Election this micro-site is about to be closed down. The Political Revolution Britain so desperately needs failed to materialise. All the electorate has done, is to effectively shuffle the deckchairs around a bit, aboard a ship of state that we all know is sinking. The same individuals and parties responsible for wrecking Britain are still in control, and without any sort of a vision or plan of action to right so much that is wrong.

Another General Election is likely to follow in a year or two. We can only hope that in the time we have until then, us British can reconnect with the spirit and backbone of our ancestors, and get ready to kick New Labour, the Tories and the Liberal Democrats into touch. To that end, my own efforts will become channeled towards making a plan of action to build a new political party designed to appeal to decent, hard working and law abiding peoples. Pro 'United Kingdom', free and independent, meritocratic and non-racist. Major thrusts must be to secure our borders and set about reclaiming our national sovereignty in its three vital forms, political, commercial and legal. Further to this, the restoration of Britain's natural creativity must be high priority. We must build a new economic model in which our millions of craftspeople can again ply their trade and in doing so work for their own and the nation's benefit. We need a fair tax regime that doesn't penalise hard work but rewards it. And we must stop foreign business interests utilising our economy for a cash-cow.

We need policing and justice to become once more reliable and effective. The benefits culture built up over the past 3 decades must be dismantled. Our overblown bureaucracy must be taken to pieces. And such a malevolent force as 'Political Correctness' must be attacked and put permanently out of business. Do all of this, and Britain will be put back to rights. Make these the founding principals of a new national political force, and the British would have to be nuts not to vote for it.

The job in question is now in hand and will become the subject of the Sheep No More main website shortly. Until the new material is ready, please do take in what's on the site currently. This micro-site will become defunct once the new main site is ready to begin its work, and that will be very shortly. Finally... a heartfelt thank you to those that have lent me their moral and practical support thus far, and of course to those who voted for me at the 2010 General Election. Only another 30,000 votes and I might have tipped the sitting Tory off his perch! Next time...
