“The Handicapped Nation”

If asked to describe in as few a words as possible the change in Britain’s status over say the last half century what words would you choose? How about just one word and a couple of its derivatives? For me the word “stable” and its derivatives “unstable” or “destabilised” illustrate in the simplest terms our country’s dramatic change of fortunes that have lead to the Britain of today and which drew me to the word processor in order to have a go at doing something about it! From stable to unstable only requires two extra keys to be pressed on a computers keyboard which takes a split second, but relate stable to unstable to the circumstances of our nation and we find a timescale of decades has been required to bring about such an unholy transformation. Britain has never been Heaven on earth or anything close to it but regardless of all relevant factors such as for instance city smog’s, working with little understood materials like asbestos and the threat of impending nuclear annihilation, nevertheless Britain was half a century ago undeniably stable. This land was highly creative, possessed a treasure trove of skills, was mostly self sufficient, focused, safe and secure. But then it all started to go wrong as a breed of substandard leader took control both within the political establishment and the business environment. Decades down the line Britain has arrived at the place it’s at today. All those years of unchallenged neglect and decay presided over by abysmal quality leaders have done their worst with the inevitable end result that our formerly decent way of life has been run into the ground. Stable to unstable… one word that with the addition of an “un” indicates an exact opposite. The two extreme ends of the same scale. One end represents all that’s good and wholesome whilst the other represents all that’s bad and wrong. Right now as a nation we’re at the wrong end of the scale and we need to do something about it! Time me thinks to cut to the chase…

The British have been far too obedient and unquestioning for their own good with the result that an inferior quality entirely self serving standard of leader has risen to the surface and taken unopposed command over our nation and all of its affairs. We have succeeded in producing a breed of leader utterly devoid of the good qualities this or any other country must have in order to build and maintain a well rounded and unified land that functions to the benefit of its majority population. Where there should be at the helm a breed of leader that is a national asset, we find instead an infestation of the self serving who can only in all honesty be described as national handicaps. Three elements within national life particularly interest me as it is the leadership of these that hold the levers of power in a grip of iron and control the lives of us all. Politics, big business and the law should all be forces of stabilisation but within the Britain of 2005 each has become a major cause of the rampant destabilisation now wreaking havoc. With heads out of sand and both eyes and minds wide open, I invite you dear reader to see if these descriptions don’t ring true…

Political Leadership.

Britain introduced to the world, but most especially the English speaking world many if not most of its best cultural standards and features. The most important of them all must surely be the form of democracy universally adopted around the globe as the most just form of government. This is the standard that set Britain apart from all other nations and has been our most important export bar none. Britain had itself been the world’s most mature democracy and had built around it a treasure trove of positive features the sum total of which added up to in a word “stability” Our democracy and the stability it generated were quite simply the greatest assets we had. You will have noted my use of the past tense; I do so because stability was the product of a strong and just democracy. Instability on the other hand can only indicate the unhealthy condition into which our democracy has fallen. We kid ourselves that because we turn out and vote once every 4-5 years that we live within a democracy and each of us is exercising our own little bit of power. The reality of today’s “democracy” is that it has become a sham and a disgrace to all those genuine democrats that went before. Those who together make up the political establishment have become performers within a farce carefully constructed and maintained for their own benefit, whilst the part of you and I is to go sheepishly along with the pantomime, keep our noses to the grindstone and stump up ever more taxes in order to fund their charade! What exactly is the purpose of our going to the trouble of endorsing one person from amongst our peers to sit upon the hallowed benches at Westminster? In a nutshell what we are doing is to elect one individual whose job should be to take care of the big issues that threaten our way of life, issues that if not addressed might destabilise the nation whilst we, the general population get on with the job of putting a meal on the table and looking after the welfare of our individual families. We are speaking here of an unwritten contract of honour that used to serve both sides very well. Now though that formerly wholesome gentlemen’s agreement has patently dissolved.

Suppose we were to compile a list of the most pressing issues in the land that threaten our way of life and that should be at the forefront of the political agenda receiving firm attention and determined action. Issues such as these…

The drugs epidemic… Undefended borders… Deindustrialisation… The breakdown of discipline… Communities under siege… MRSA etc. Then there are world issues that in all honesty make you wonder if mankind did not some time ago sign his own death certificate and is now merely dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. Global warming, AIDS, religious fanaticism and third-world poverty. All receive lip-service aplenty; none are in line for serious corrective action.

Each and every one of those issues whilst allowed to fester away is playing a major part in the non-stop degradation of the British way of life. Meanwhile those we elect and pay handsomely to defend both our communities and national interests are doing nothing of the sort! Two issues dominated the last parliamentary term, one exacerbated an already nightmarish problem whilst the other’s a diversionary device. Our Prime Minister took us into an illegal war driven by his insatiable lust to toady up to Bush with the result that over 100,000 have died, mostly those supposedly being liberated but including many of our own servicemen. Then the “desperately important” issue of fox hunting had copious amounts of parliamentary time lavished upon it. I ask you… Fox Hunting or Drugs? If the decision were yours to make which issue would occupy pole position on any logical jobs to do list? The one that kills quite literally tens of thousands per year directly or indirectly and drives before it a crime epidemic of biblical proportions destroying countless lives or… Putting in their place a minority of posh yobs. Unspeakably offensive though fox hunters unquestionably are in my opinion, they are not destabilising the nation whilst drug culture most certainly is. Drug culture is most definitely a premier division issue whilst fox hunting can not rate as anywhere above third or even the fourth division. It is the sort of topic that warrants a little attention once the genuinely important and pressing issues have been safely dealt with but not before. What the fox hunting issue tells me is that politicking at Westminster has become a well paid job and the name of the game is to make going to work as easy and non-challenging as possible. As for you and I forced to endure living in a land where it’s political leaders as a matter of routine look the other way whilst all manner of social ills wreak havoc… well that’s the point of this website and the campaign that will follow.

So far then my charges to be laid at the feet of the political establishment consist of a comprehensive failure to act upon serious destabilising issues and a spectacular wasting of effort on the unimportant. Also into the frame must be placed downright treachery as those who govern us dismiss out of hand the wishes of the electorate whilst they relentlessly pursue their own self serving agenda.

How much plainer could the general public express their feelings about our country’s relationship with the EEC? Blair, Brown, Kinnock, Mandleson, Heseltine, Clark, Kennedy & Co along with an ever shrinking minority of Euro fanatics, the misguided and the downright stupid retain control over the issue and continue dragging us ever deeper inward. The fact is that from day one Britain’s relationship with Europe has been one of abuse and has done immeasurable harm. The benefits are supposedly that Europe has maintained the peace, we are part of a powerful trading block and millions of jobs depend upon our remaining inside. It’s all complete and utter tosh! No two democracies have ever gone to war, being inside the EEC has not protected a single job as deindustrialisation has destroyed our industrial heritage, and throughout history Britain has always traded with the entire world not just one continent. The downside of our nation having been straitjacketed, manacled and helpless to defend itself is that our borders have been flung wide open allowing free admission to all that’s bad and little that’s good. The stock of fish in our seas has been plundered by irresponsible foreign crews who given unfettered access have done their greed driven worst whilst throughout history our own fishermen livid in harmony with the sea taking only what was sustainable. We are Europe’s dumping ground for much of its asylum / benefit-tourist problem and the trade that is supposedly to our benefit is virtually one way. We import all we should be making for ourselves and our only substantial exports have been our nation’s wealth and our jobs. Europe imposes a tidal wave of regulations designed to stymie British businesses and the price demanded of us in return for all these “benefits” has been our history, heritage and independence. I’m sorry dear reader for stating the obvious but I have to in order to make the point. You and I are wise to the unmitigated disaster that has been our subjugation to the EEC, yet even were it plain that 90% of the British people shared our view and want our country back, still Blair will carry on knowing what’s best for and looking after his mates Kinnock and Mandleson. Were either the Tories or the Liberal Democrats in power the position would be exactly the same because politics in this country has become an unrepresentative homogenised self-serving damned disgrace!

Before moving on to the other two major handicaps inflicting our nation let me ask a question the answer to which is highly relevant in our search for the root cause of Britain’s malaise. Which profession dominates British politics? Let’s not pussyfoot, which profession “infests” British politics? Blair, Howard, Kennedy and most of their senior lieutenants within all three main political parties are by trade lawyers and that in itself is a major clue as to why our country is in such deep trouble. Lawyers produce absolutely nothing of any value to society. They thrive on argument and disharmony and remember this because it is very important… Solve an argument and its earning potential dries up but keep it bubbling gently away and it can be counted as regular income. Ideally fracture further wherever possible disputes and acrimony so that divisions fire off all over the place and the earning potential stretches towards infinity! Does a lawyer have any genuine incentive to create a peaceful and harmonious environment when such a situation would put him out of business? The only realistic answer can be no. Lawyers are at the very pinnacle of the earnings league in this nation and that illustrates graphically the state of disharmony and instability we are mired within. Across the dispatch box two lots of lawyers preen and smirk at each other each playing his or her respective part in the game that British politics has become. Theirs is a game with one simple rule and that is to make a convincing job of appearing vital whilst in reality achieving absolutely nothing other than to maintain the momentum of their game craftily keeping up the appearance of effort and action. Circular arguments bounce around like a perfectly matched and balanced game of tennis but one that rarely if ever produces a match point. Suppose parliament were loaded with the sorts of people that are by nature productive… Doctors, nurses, teachers, policemen, engineers, craftsmen, scientists and the like? Would the Britain of today bare any resemblance to the awful reality if at the helm were constructive people with a natural bent towards seeking solutions to problems rather that the present national handicap of folks who thrive on division and disharmony? Basic logic must tell us that were our nation lead by people who are by nature constructive then that simply must produce a society capable of dealing effectively with its own problems. Britain today is lead by people whose nature is fundamentally destructive and we only need the evidence of our own ears and eyes to know that to be true.

Business Culture.

You know the story; you hear it all the time! High ranking journalists, celebrity financiers and captains of industry rubbing up Gordon Brown’s ego, tickling him under the chin and telling him what a great bloke he is! Not just home grown movers and shakers but foreign ones also, all banging home the message that Britain’s economy is the envy of the world and that we should not under any circumstances be tempted to wash the bullshit from our eyes. That the most public face of British business is raking in mints of money is an undeniable fact of life as the published accounts for many top companies themselves household names amply illustrates. Nor can there be any doubting the staggering earnings ability the most powerful captains of industry, managers and shareholders achieve under the present regime. At face value it looks as though Britain is indeed the thriving economy Gordon Brown claims it to be. I would though not merely suggest, but state as fact that this nation’s supposed success reflects the genuine condition of our democracy. That on the surface all’s fine and dandy but begin scratching through the glittery top coat and what lies beneath is decay at every level leading ultimately downwards toward crumbling foundations. Why do our foreign competitors bolster the line taken by our own leaders both political and business? The answer is perfectly straightforward; they know a good thing when they see it! They recognise ours as a nation deluding itself about its own state of health and position within the world and that tells them that this land is prostrate before them and ripe for the taking. Here is without doubt the most destructive minority of all running the affairs of our nation entirely for its own benefit and against the interests of the vast majority. Britain’s supposed “success” is measured according to the opinions and personal wealth of the most highly vocal and powerful movers and shakers both in our own land and abroad. Our economy serves their needs incredibly well as they make money hand over fist. Clearly they’re very keen to keep Britain upon its present course but the fact is they are a minority motivated by their own needs and totally unrepresentative of the greater needs of ordinary people.

Genuine free enterprise and the movement of cash is quite simply the most important tool at our disposal within the essential need to maintain stable communities. Every time cash changes hands a livelihood is supported and with it the next generations role models. Within a truly healthy economy the nation’s vascular system responsible for moving around the life blood of the nation i.e. its cash flow is kept healthy and vigorous. Our nation’s economy is in anything but rude health as its life blood gets siphoned off by all manner of means and deeds.

The process of deindustrialisation is a classic illustration of a vicious circle at work. Years ago one or two companies took note of the fact that in the developing world folks would work like slaves for peanuts and that their nation states would bend over backwards to attract the investment. These companies took advantage and then lowered their own prices in order to gain market share. This put rival companies at a disadvantage and so the process of deindustrialisation at home was set in motion. The very same companies that have abandoned our countrymen and their communities are still registered as British and are turning in enormous profits. These are then hailed by Gordon Brown as evidence of his success. Meanwhile at home our own communities become blighted as our former creative culture dissolves. We are left with second rate jobs and benefits as replacements and have to endure the sight of superstore shelves groaning under the weight of third world made products bearing the logos of our own formerly high grade employers. Then there are the companies that move offshore not out of necessity but purely out of greed. Banks, building societies, insurance companies, providers of telephone services and the like abandon Britain in order to exploit the third world whilst leaving behind them one destabilised community after another. It is as though the most senior movers and shakers within British commerce have without a shred of conscience detached themselves from the fact that they are themselves members of a national family and should have natural instincts and interests in maintaining the stability and integrity of their own nation. If only that were all but its not, there’s worse to come!

The stability of our own land abandoned in pursuit of short term financial gain exclusively for those on the top table, Britain’s commercial and industrial identity has been flogged off or closed down. Long term investment within the workforce, research and development is abandoned in favour of short term asset stripping as factories occupying prime real estate sites become all too mouth wateringly tempting to resist putting on the market. Anything to which a price sticker can be applied is flogged off and for the most part it is foreign corporations that can all too easily see the opportunity to grab a bargain. Immeasurably valuable trade names are snapped up and production moved away whilst our market place remains wide open and subservient to the will of foreign interests. Exports dry up as our manufacturing base dissolves whilst at the same time imports are deluged upon us from every imaginable port of entry.

Two distinctly different standards of import pour in whilst our nation’s life blood goes in the opposite direction. The first sort are high grade products of the sort we used to build for ourselves but which now provide top quality employment for our competitors. The other kind are low quality to all intents and purpose “throw away” standard goods. Cheap and nasty third world made textiles, electronics, ceramics, toys and the like. These unfeasibly cheap job destroying products have turned Britain into a throw away society. This blatantly unsustainably factor on its own should set alarm bells ringing nationwide especially when we consider our already insurmountable problem with waste disposal, but at present it is only the silence of those alarms that is deafening. Valueless products can only be in effect a form of pollution themselves but that’s only part of the story! Whether an import is high quality or crud the costs of transportation is the same. Global warming might not concern George Bush but it sure as hell does me and I dare say you! Our planet is dying whilst we aid the process moving unnecessarily billions of tons of low grade crap around the globe. In to the bargain we are transfusing our nation’s life blood into the vascular systems of our rivals at a truly suicidal rate. We have completely and utterly lost the plot!!!

What of supermarkets and their unhealthy stranglehold upon the food production systems and diet of our nation? The bigger they are the more power they wield and the more money they siphon out of the system. Cash must continually change hands in order to work at its best - agreed? How does that fit with the nation’s top supermarket chain sitting upon literally billions in profits? The money stashed away becomes effectively stagnant and to be gloated over by its controllers. Meanwhile shelves are piled high with imports, all of the trucks and most of the vans used to cart the goods around Britain’s crumbling road network are imported rather than produced at home and what’s left of Britain’s farming industry exists under the cosh of the corporate giant. From where was mad cow disease initiated? It was the result of farmers cutting corners as supermarkets put the squeeze on supplier’s profitability. Our small to medium sized farmers have ended up firmly under the control of the supermarkets and forced to pare their own costs and profits to the bone whilst the supermarkets themselves clean up. How do you keep going under such circumstances if you have a business to maintain and family to support? You cut corners… chemicals are cheaper than labour, battery takes over from humane farming and then some immoral bastard suggests that grinding up sheep’s brains into paste and moving it on as cattle feed is a good idea. Result… Britain is viewed world wide as a basket case nation; we impose upon ourselves a horrific new disease and our entire blood stock, that’s to say all 60 million of us are viewed as contaminated damaged goods to be treated with suspicion.

There is a way of illustrating with ease the depth to which confidence within our own nation has plunged. Get up out of your chair for a moment and stroll out into the street. Now take a look around… Every which way you look, you are surrounded by imports. Cars, vans, trucks, vast numbers of them each one of which represents British money invested in foreign jobs. What “successful” businessman doesn’t want to parade his virility and importance from the heated seat of his shiny German motor? It screams out through a Glastonbury standard sound system for all the world to hear that Britain has plenty of money to invest in high quality products but that we are such a bunch of losers we cannot satisfy even a small part of the need ourselves. The ones that can be identified as British are owned by foreign parent companies and that bangs home the message with a sledge hammer that only jonnie foreigner can run our affairs for us! Let me sum up with just a single word that perfectly encapsulates and epitomises Britain’s current psychologically crippled condition…

Rover

Decades after the rot set in finally Rover becomes the most perfect and apt metaphor for the entire nations industrial health. Rover richly deserves to be on top of the bill regarding Britain’s industrial farce but in advance of the star turn a most suitable warm-up act… Cunards Queen Mary 2.

Our head of state, Her Majesty The Queen smashes a bottle of bubbly against the hull of the biggest liner ever built whilst on the quay a military band strikes up “Britannia rules the waves” The press and media hail the event as patriotic and along the waterfront hoards of onlookers wave little plastic Union Flags. Just what the hell are they celebrating? A foreign ship commissioned by a foreign owned company and the vast majority of its crew drawn from the third world because they are cheap to employ. Other than some home grown components the only thing British about this contraption is a handful of officers for show and a red duster hanging from the stern! It’s registered as British as is the company which means it’s added an enormous amount to our already gargantuan trade deficit although admittedly some tax revenue will come back the other way. What should we make of all the lemmings waving their dopey little plastic flags themselves imported from the third world? Should those of us not of a defeatist mindset be angry with them or feel pity? Personally my sorrow is reserved for our own shipbuilding communities left derelict, demoralised and overrun by crime and despair. The QM2 does indeed stand up as near perfect metaphor for the national state of mind but Rover goes the whole hog!!!

This nation began to lose faith in itself decades ago finally culminating in today’s total loss of self belief. The process of Rover’s long slow agonising death began about the same time with the souring of industrial relations. Serious investment dried up and the long slippery downhill slide began. The company changed hands time and time again and struck up relationships out of desperation with anyone it could. It became like the sad bloke at the office party desperate to latch on to anyone. Sales figures plunged, the British got used to buying foreign and by the time BMW had enough the end was patently close at hand. A man called John Towers along with a handful of co directors were gifted half a billion pounds by the Germans who were more than pleased to be rid of it and immediately these individuals set about feathering their own nests. They squirreled away millions into trust funds for themselves rather than investing it within the company on research and development toward a next generation of product. They asset stripped everything they possibly could to the point that the company had gone way beyond viability. Next up Blair and Brown stride manfully into town smack bang in the middle of the General Election campaign in order to hand-wring, commiserate and to speak of “benefits packages” before the worlds TV cameras. In their own distorted little world, the two most powerful politicians in the land were demonstrating just what a couple of great caring blokes they are. In the real world however they were publicly and without shame throwing in of the towel. Months pass, the gates remain padlocked and then comes the final humiliation. There are at present no Chinese made vehicles on Britain’s roads despite the fact that they are entirely choked with imports. That situation is about to change now that Rover’s buyer has been identified. The Nanjing Corporation will use the buyout as its means of entry as our roads will soon testify. Asset stripping has already begun with the announcement that the majority of production will move abroad. Some MG sports cars will continue to be built at Longbridge but only no doubt until the value of the real-estate becomes known to the new owners.

At the time Rover set out upon the road towards oblivion, in France Renault was in precisely the same condition. The two nations took diametrically opposed courses of action. The French understand the value of creative industry, stable communities and national identity whilst in Britain we have come to specialise in asset stripping, defeatism and ultimately subservience. The French have a company that last year turned in a profit of 2 billion pounds, employs hundreds of thousands of its citizens in high quality jobs and has carved out for itself a gigantic share of Britain’s automotive market place. Meanwhile in dear old Blighty, the land that last year alone ran up a trade deficit of 35 billion pounds, work continues towards the perfecting of a new national dance. Choreographed to what ever tune Johnny Foreigner might fancy calling, Britannia prances around a circle decked out with in one hand a clutch of white flags and the other a selection of towels. As the display nears its climax the flags are waved with vigour and the towels thrown in a dainty motion towards the feet of an appreciative audience. The display ends when Britannia prostrates herself with hindquarters uppermost skirts hitched up and rump bared. At this point the focus of attention shifts towards the audience as Johnny Foreigner and his friends take it in turns to shaft the old girl and she then thanks them for it!

The Legal Industry.

Remember when the British police and British justice were the envy of the world and how healthy such reassurance was for the psychological condition of our entire nation? Who in their right mind would make such a patently ludicrous claim now? No profession other perhaps than doctoring earned its practitioners more credibility. Lawyers were quite simply the most looked up to pillars of society. You might think that from what I have said so far about our friends in the legal trade that I reserve for them an extra special loathing? I’ll put it this way, I loath what has become of the legal trade because of the staggering levels of disharmony and injustice it has in recent years inflicted upon our damaged society but I acknowledge without hesitation the vital role lawyers should be playing within a stable land. A just legal system simply has to be the bedrock of a strong democracy. Right must be seen to triumph over wrong. The weak must be protected from the strong, those with little power and influence from the powerful and the most important features and standards that together make a strong nation forcefully protected.

Once again the word “stable” must come to the fore. Within a just and morally strong society stability is the ultimate reward. Without justice and moral strength we are left with the Britain of 2005. In a nutshell then we must have a strong and just legal system that gives comfort and reassurance to ordinary people and provides them with the peace of mind they need in order to get on with their lives and fulfil their duty towards their children. That duty is of course to bring them up as clear headed young citizens and by doing so insure the future for us all. I acknowledge the fact that there must still be lawyers who are indeed a credit to our nation but the fact is that they are not the ones calling the shots. Perhaps it is they before all others that must be empowered in order that the reigns of power within Britain’s legal establishment be returned to people who do understand the crucial job their profession has to play, but for now those who today shape the legal industry are an altogether different breed, and it is upon them that our attention must focus.

Britain’s legal system has gone horribly wrong. In fact it has mutated from the powerful foundation stone of our democracy it undoubtedly was into a national handicap doing incredible damage. Lawyers who were once powerful upholders of justice in the names of us all have mutated into Britain’s most ruthless breed of businessmen. No longer do they seek to uphold the law, maintain peaceful communities and fight the corner of the decent hard working and law abiding majority, now they seek to foster disharmony and then milk for all they’re worth the earning potential it brings. It’s a powerful charge to have made so I’d better back it up with some equally powerful evidence…

First into the dock must go the evidence of our own senses built up over decades. There will be no family in the land untouched by British “justice” in its present form. The evidence is plain for all to see not just those made individual victims as crime and disorder unfolds around us all and shreds the fabric of society but by anyone that has lived in Britain in recent years. Newspapers, TV and radio programmes bring the evidence of a society breaking down into our homes as we witness the ever growing role call of victim’s names with the result that we all become victims by association. The damage being done to the psychology of the entire nation cannot be overestimated as it becomes plain that the law of the land has ceased to function effectively.

Let us dismiss from our natural consciousness the notion that lawyers exist to protect the law abiding and instead view them as businessmen with expansion in mind. The breakdown of society brings with it enormous earning potential for those set to take advantage. Best of all is that the paymaster for this industry is the tax payer. Those who are the victims of societal breakdown are also expected to fund the enterprise and the pit of funds to which crime provides access is bottomless! I’ll start with short sentencing that acts as neither deterrent to the criminal nor satisfaction, closure and relief to the victim. Has such injustice come about through accident or design? Perhaps some amongst us view criminals as a resource to be utilised? Maybe even dare I say it milked? When a law is broken and victim created then provided the culprit is caught the legal system springs into action providing a source of funds not for one firm of lawyers but two as every prosecution must be defended. Short sentences have become standard because what business wants its most important resource locked away where it’s earning power becomes stymied? You want your greatest asset in the place where it can do you most good, which in the case of the legal industry means its prize asset the career criminal needs to be on the street lining up his next victim. This is not rocket science, its basic business logic. A plentiful supply of criminals having been guaranteed firstly thanks to the general breakdown of society but then to a legal industry bent on exploiting to the max both the issue and its prime asset find themselves sent down for the allotted short period. Were it in the game plan that criminals should be reformed then returned to society as citizens, our prisons would bear no resemblance whatsoever to those that we actually have. If the intention genuinely were to turn around damaged people and break the cycle of re-offending then educative resources would be ploughed into these institutions and a disciplined working atmosphere created. So why isn’t it happening? Because it would break the cycle that’s why! Far better to allow in drugs so that gang culture can keep the level of fear and disharmony at boiling point, make discipline non existent, even better make certain that the lags have more “rights” than the staff and bingo! The institution has served its intended purpose. What comes out of the other end is not a reformed citizen but an ill-disciplined individual about to go back on the streets and repeat the cycle. Why do cases drag on for years? Why so many appeals even when they’re clearly not justified? The legal industry will drag its heals wherever it can and all the time it does so letters are bouncing around from one law firm to the other, meetings held and hearings attended. A myriad of folks including clerks and judges attend and all have to be paid for out of the public purse. The legal trade have managed to create between them nothing less than perpetual motion regarding wealth creation. As long as they have a dispute to haggle over their earning power is guaranteed yet it is they themselves that create the arguments. Eureka!

What has the asylum issue done for our country’s peace of mind and stability? For a decade or more the issue has utterly blighted the nation as our people’s noses have been rubbed into the awful truth that our defences against such attack are non-existent. It has featured as number one topic of conversation at every pub and bus queue nationwide and has turned the airwaves of phone-in programmes and the letter pages of newspapers into cauldrons of fury and fear. It has even breathed life into the BNP, no mean feat in a nation of people whose natural inclination is toward democracy! If Blair was so inclined he could have issued an order temporarily assigning the armed forces to the assistance of the immigration and custom services, re-establishing effective border controls and keeping out such as the Eastern European gangsters that now run riot in our land and kill our children with the drugs they ply and the terrorists now lurking amongst us who have now started murdering our people within their own land. We’ve had plenty of tough talk but no action. I wonder why? The answer of course is all too depressingly obvious. An asylum seeker is worth at least a damned good holiday per year to his legal representative. The first thing benefit tourists get even before the council flat denied to our own children, four grand for a motor and mobile phone is free legal representation. Free to them, not free to those of us being fleeced of taxes in order to fund the enterprise of course! I doubt there is an asylum specialist in the country with only one client on his books, there are more likely to be scores per lawyer. Around the country, practices have sprung up that only deal with asylum and they are turning over millions of pounds, all of it courtesy of the taxpayer and all that could be far better spent on legitimate projects.

Constructive by nature lawyers are not, yet they have brought into existence two devices of great value to themselves. Political Correctness is the spawn of lawyers and has been utilised left right and centre creating for the undeserving unfair advantage that brings with it unlimited earning potential for lawyers. Compensation Culture then followed in the wake of PC creating yet more earning potential. Both are entirely negative destructive elements dividing communities and rewarding sloth. Both have done immeasurable damage to the fabric of our society and both are the bastard offspring of the legal trade!

The damage political correctness has done in the time of its existence cannot be exaggerated. Dangled before the noses of the undeserving like a carrot, PC has done its job spectacularly well leading those successfully spun the line that the world owes them a living as though they were donkeys with legal jockeys upon their backs, toward the holy grail of the public purse. Standard procedure has become for the “rights” of minorities to ride roughshod over the natural rights of the majority even though the damage being brought about as a result, damage plain for all to see is eating away at the fabric of society.PC appears in many guises and has infiltrated the British way of life doing enormous harm wherever it has turned up like the bad smell it is.Its most destructive form however has visited us via the asylum issue.

To suggest that the British way of life must be protected apparently makes us “racists” according to the forces of political correction headed up of course by lawyers. I know for certain that the vast majority of the British people are fundamentally decent, open minded and slow to anger. The forces of political correction however are seriously threatening our easy going nature and driving decent but frightened people towards the likes of the BNP as it becomes plain that the country is being overrun by parasites, gangsters and terrorists. Of course there are decent genuinely deserving cases and these I for one am happy to entertain provided the individual concerned has no problem in pledging allegiance to the crown. These however are not the people threatening our way of life. The issue here is not racism but stability. To question Blair’s criminally negligent policy of open doors allowing in all and sundry has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with the maintenance of a stable environment in which all can thrive no matter what the colour of our skins or the name of the god we serve.

Compensation culture is an abomination! It has legitimised the work-shy, feeding notions that the world owes us all a living and that it must surely only be fools that still work now that the opportunity to stay in bed and sue exists and is so damned easy.A friend has a small business. The very existence of the enterprise that employs a dozen people is under serious threat since the day one of the employees took on board a radio ad imploring any that hear it to sue, sue, sue! This individual slapped in an enormous claim for an invented injury and in doing so has plunged the decent hard working couple whose business it is into unnecessary expense, mountains of paperwork and sleepless nights. The unjustified financial expenditure and work are putting the business under pressure but what really puts the enterprise at risk and therefore its employees’ jobs is the de-motivating effect upon the owners. There is more than enough pressure as it is on the small businessman already but to then find yourself having to fight off blatant parasitism is enough to de-motivate anyone to the point of throwing in the towel and putting up the closed sign. After only a few years of its existence, compensation culture has brought serious blight upon our way of life. Your local playgroup cannot hold a jumble sale in the village hall without exorbitant insurance cover. School trips are being cancelled as fear of litigation takes hold. Even the burglar breaking into your home and cutting himself on the glass he himself shattered has the right to sue you for his injury. Compensation culture is the spawn of lawyers that couldn’t give a damn about stability and community spirit, they’re farming a small but ever growing army of parasites that have been told the world owes them a living and have come to believe it!

Everything I have said so far is patently true. There is no attempt to get crime and disorder under control, the fact that new prisons are planned and under construction illustrates just how vast is the scale of moral decline and how willing is the establishment to cater for it. The other side of that equation is of course that for every offence committed there is at least one victim. We are slowly but surely becoming an entire nation of victims! Asylum has rocked the stability of our nation whilst those that have farmed the issue have milked multi millions out of the legal aid budget. And compensation culture has empowered the parasite whilst de-motivating the decent. British justice has managed to turn itself over just a couple of decades from national treasure and bulwark for democracy into national handicap and recruiting sergeant for the BNP. What a complete and utter disgrace the once rock solid law of our land has become.

From bulwark for democracy, decency and stability to national handicap. That one line sums up Britain’s legal system. More or less mirroring the decay of natural justice and stability over the same time period those who preside over the issue of crime and disorder have assumed command over this nation’s political system. So what do politicians of Blair’s standard represent and whose interests do they serve? The people of this nation desperately in need of stability or his chums and buddies within the legal trade taking full advantage of breakdown that they themselves foster and drive onwards, creating for themselves fabulous earning potential along the way?

And finally…

If our nation is to be put back upon its feet then we must not waste time and effort looking towards those who presided over the decay for solutions. Our leaders political, business and legal highlight themselves in flashing neon lights as being at the very hub of Britain’s malaise and so irrelevant to the cure that must be sought. The very same people that lead our country at present and cannot escape responsibility for its current condition benefited themselves from a stable upbringing within a safe and peaceful environment. They enjoyed high quality education which cost them nothing to acquire. The streets were safe and the law of the land effective. The nation they thrived within was at that time the most creative on earth and it was secure. We had every reason to be proud of our wholesome land that stood out as a beacon of decency for all mankind. You might have expected that having thrived themselves within such a stable land that they would fight tooth and nail to maintain such an inheritance and pass it on but no. The baton of responsibility passed to them but instead of protecting for future generations the inheritance of us all, they succumbed to unfettered greed. They sought to feed a gargantuan appetite for personal wealth and chose to ignore the collapse of the British way of life taking place all around the field of their ever narrowing tunnel vision as lust for money and power drove them ever onward. In the end, thanks to the inadequacies of this breed of leader we have ended up exactly where we are today. These are the people that lay at the centre of our nation’s miserable condition and we must be rid of them. We must have in their place a breed of leader that has in his or her minds eye the far bigger picture that life is not all about money and the need to posses it in obscene amounts. We must view money as a tool to be used in recreating stability for the benefit of the nation’s entire population.

Believe me dear reader, this nation will become once more focused, strong, moral and just but it most certainly won’t happen under the leadership of the present substandard clique of greed driven self serving charlatans for they are our nation’s worst enemies. They are quite simply the British people’s greatest handicap so let’s recognise and brand them for that fact.

This old country is not finished yet!
