Sheep No More - Business as Usual

This temporary page exists to provide a basic insight to Sheep No More and will be replaced with fuller content in the spring of 2012 to coincide with the publication of a book of the same name.

Welcome to the website of Pete Harris, hard working family man and concerned citizen, intent upon having his say about the malaise to have overwhelmed Britain and its people, and to progress beyond mere comment to the next stage of tackling it.

Who will fight your corner if you won’t? Answer; no one. Cowardice invites contempt and evermore grief, whilst courage, especially in the face of adversity and overwhelming odds, will draw admiration and support. In Britain today we are all guilty of collective apathy and cowardice, because whilst our country and way of life get pummelled from every conceivable angle, we as a people are doing diddlysquat about it.

Currently we all tolerate a multitude of abuses, and these begin with those at the top of our national hierarchy...

Antidemocratic politicians ignoring the peoples needs and wishes
Big business driven by greed and with a careless attitude towards its societal responsibilities
'Justice' more concerned with the 'rights' of crooks than of their victims
Foreign politicians, bureaucrats, judges and businessmen calling the shots over us and our way of life, a phenomenon that equates to the abandonment of political, judicial and commercial sovereignty
The ordinary populous expected to pick up the tab for the irresponsibility of bankers as 'austerity' bites deep and costs us our civilising institutions and national dignity.

Those are major abuses governing the mindsets of those at the heart of the establishment and that we are expected to put up with as a matter of routine. From there and as a direct consequence of no effort whatsoever being directed towards protecting national 'heart and soul' the following abuses afflict wider society and drag the whole country down.

Unprotected borders through which have flowed millions of chancers, some of whom are genuine asylum seekers, whilst many more have barged their way in to freeload
The development of a home bred underclass without a work ethic and not concerned about its responsibilities towards its neighbours and society
Aggressive attitudes seeping in as 'looking out for number one' displaces community spirits
Breakdown of discipline in the school environment that has sabotaged a whole generation's education, whilst our competitor nations streak ahead
Part time work and shelf stacking jobs in replacement of at least five million creative jobs decanted abroad since 1979
Millions of ordinary Brits abandoned on sink estates where their quality of life has plummeted, places that were just decades ago, good places to live and raise children
Gang culture rife especially where kids are subjected to sink schools and where no decent quality role models are theirs to call upon
Hard drugs available for the price of sweeties in the face of no genuine effort to keep the streets safe, but where lip service alone is applied towards the scourge, and such a device as employing a 'Drugs Tsar' is meant to convince the populous that 'something is being done'
Killing for kicks and the creation of victims almost on an industrial scale where society has entirely broken down
Ineffective policing now that coppers mustn't offend politically correct sensibilities and are scared shitless of human rights and compensation lawyers, always on the lookout for a ‘nice little earner'
Young Brits sent abroad to be put in harms way whilst wearing the Queen's Uniform not afforded the support they should get whilst the fabled 'covenant' is routinely dishonoured by the establishment
The nation not secure but instead become a safe haven for terrorists, as the sworn enemies of democracy and the 'British way of life' benefit from a taxpayer funded cloak of legal protection courtesy of a trade whose business assets they are
Our elderly and vulnerable subjected to 'care' that strips them of dignity and that will transfer any wealth they possess to corporate shareholders in double quick time.

And those are just a handful of the many problems afflicting society now and that account for what has become of our quality of life. The peace of mind earlier generations enjoyed has pretty much gone, to be replaced with real and justified fear of the future.

No matter from what angle we view modern Britain the place is seriously messed up, and to any that would balk at what’s being claimed and declare my words as alarmist or exaggerated, I'd say... Get your head out of the sand fool, because you’re likely to get shafted from behind when reality catches you up, as inevitably it will. Little more than a generation ago, ours was the most safe, stable and envied nation on earth, and yet in the space of just a few decades it has all gone horribly wrong and the abuses described come to define what national life has become in 2012.

Do you believe in democracy, even handedness, fair mindedness, protecting the vulnerable, the rule of law, rewarding hard work whilst penalising sloth, and that 'nationhood' must be actively striven for as opposed to being left to chance? If yes, you believe in all the things I do, so it makes a whole lot of sense for you and I to stand shoulder-to-shoulder on the matter. Alone we’ve no chance of putting Britain back to rights and of reclaiming for the next generation their birthright. Together we’ve every chance because through increasing numbers comes strength.

I understand exactly how apathy, defeatism and collective cowardice got to overwhelm the country. For three whole decades, the fight has been pummelled out of us with the result that our nation has been left unprotected. We must now deal with this mighty problem whilst there still is a 'nation' in existence to fight for!

Sheep No More 'the book' is currently being prepared for publication and within it the two most vital questions of our age get asked and then answered. These are...

In order to fathom what has gone wrong, special attention gets paid towards the ‘bad attitudes’ that have governed the mindsets of our lords and masters, and that since 1979 have cost us our nation. All of the abuses mentioned get examined from a sideways perspective and as much wit, logic and common sense as required, then gets applied towards the task of identifying where the malevolent forces driving the various issues arose from. Put in enough effort and what has been inflicted upon Britain can most certainly be made sense of. As to the second question, the answer is yes! A mountain of effort will be necessary to put right so much that has gone wrong, but it can be done and, besides, the alternative is more of the same. Enough said?

Two principals governing the author's own mindset need to be made clear at this juncture. Extreme politics of either a rightwing or leftwing bent have no place within these writings, nor does religion of any brand, and certainly not the sort of outlandish conspiracy theories as put about by more inventive authors. As far as I’m concerned, the reality of our predicament is more than frightening enough and doesn’t need to be dressed up with fantasised demons. The other principal concerns who is regarded by yours truly as part of the legitimate population, and whose support he would like to gain. People who are socially aware, law abiding and hard working is the answer; skin pigments, religious affiliations and native versus overseas born being of no relevance.

My book will be published in the spring of 2012 when it will be made available in both paper and ink and electronic formats. Currently a suitable printer/publisher is being sought in order to place it before the public. The writing is finished along with the small amount of artwork that goes with it, proofreading is complete and formatting also. Once the needed publisher has been identified, it'll be out there, and will I hope be working towards upsetting our unworthy lords and masters’ applecart.

Ultimately Sheep No More is intended to be a catalyst for an enterprise to be built around its themes, and that will in due course generate a healthy economic model and some sustainable, high quality career opportunities for young Brits. You see, I believe the biggest problem to be overcome is the tangled web of bad attitudes that have been allowed to get a stranglehold upon our nation. The Germans and Chinese for instance won’t put up with the whinging and subservient attitudes to have become routine in Britain now, so why are we? Having gone from running a third of the globe a century ago, to incapable of organising a piss-up in a brewery for ourselves now, is one hell of a downgrade to our national status and psychology. We must firm up and adopt a 'can do' attitude, because that is what is needed in order to rescue Britain and restore national pride.

I shall make use of it in order to comment upon national events and tackle them from my own unconventional perspective, and it will be used to advise those interested as to how the project is shaping up. Once publication of the book has taken place, this website will then be developed to its full potential.

The driving force behind these writings is that Britain has been allowed to drift for far too long already and that our children are paying for decades of failure with their future prospects. Matters look very bleak indeed right now and that is not acceptable. So don’t put up with it... fight back!
